Independent Truck Company chose the rounded cross logo at its founding in the late 1970s. From day one, the Independent logo has represented the passion for skateboarding. The Independent rounded cross design is not an Iron Cross, which has straight sides, and is not a racist hate symbol. Independent Truck Company does not and has never stood for the promotion of hate. We strongly denounce all forms of discrimination, racism, hate, and racial injustice. We believe in the power of skateboarding as a positive force in the world.
